Hi! I’m Jonas

I support leaders in purpose-driven ventures to experience more ease and joy while benefitting the world.

People who take responsibility in purpose-driven ventures often burn out, quit or become bitter. Being motivated by a deep calling in today’s world is not always easy. You sometimes feel isolated, overwhelmed by complexity, caught up in self-limiting stories or lack support.

It doesn’t have to be this way: taking responsibility, making your contribution and figuring out how to play well together with your companions can be joyful and energizing.

My approach is grounded in over a decade of experience in community organizing, taking responsibility and learning on the job about how we can enable each other to show up fully to the challenges of our time.
Together we’ll practice accessing your innate voice of wisdom. I bring tools and stories that support you to find your own answers instead of prescribing solutions.

By developing the skill of connecting with your core values first before trying to solve a tricky situation, we’ll set you up for consistently acting with clarity, integrity and ease.

Most importantly we’ll focus on building your support system, pulling in the peers and mentors you can lean on when the going gets hard – because even the greatest visionaries are nothing without an ecosystem of support around them.

We’re a good fit if…

You’re taking responsibility in a purpose-driven venture, no matter whether it’s in your job title or not, and are wondering to show up with more integrity.

You have a desire to make a difference and bring initiative to your surroundings, whether at work, your friends group or your community.

You care deeply about our world, other humans and life itself. Being confronted with the state of the world is motivating and overwhelming for you at the same time.

You are creative and have many ideas for how to contribute, so sometimes it’s a little hard to focus and make progress on any of them.

You have a tendency to “just do it yourself” – taking the lead and delegating doesn’t come easily to you.

You find yourself in a complex environment where relationship, compassion and clear communication are valued (could be a non-profit, a civic initiative, a social business, an agile team)

You have a wish to lean in to interdependence and feel more connected with those around you, instead of isolated and lonely.

What my clients say

About me

I love life and humans. They are amazing. I’ve experienced on many occasions the power of people coming together for something larger than themselves – whether in the context of activism, alpinism, in start-ups, coops or non-profits.

Knowing this experience is possible is what drives me at my core.

At the same time I’ve often experienced how challenging it can be to navigate those spaces sustainably, with clarity, ease and joy. We all carry some burdens that mean we somtimes get caught up in self-limiting stories, hit stopping points that seem insurmountable or find ourselves in conflicts that seem unresolvable. On top of that the world we find ourselves in gets more unhinged by the day.

I know how hard it can be to feel torn between an innate drive to contribute and the reality of not always knowing how – because I’ve been there myself (and likely will be there again sometime soon).

What helps me stay effective despite all the challenges: consistent practice, generosity with my own mistakes and most importantly: lots of support.

I’ve had the luck of meeting great mentors and teachers over the years. The main lesson I keep learning again and again is: no one makes it on their own. So I’m here to to support you!

Affiliations

Since 2022 I help to build an organisation that drives civic empowerment in central and eastern Europe. We support citizens initiatives, NGOs and grassroots groups to play the long game of social change, lower barriers to civic participation for marginalized groups and create spaces for dialogue and reconciliation across political and social divides.

As a collaborator at The Hum I support collaborative teams, organisations and networks to navigate a new paradigm of purpose driven work with clarity and ease.

As strategic advisor to the microsolidarity network I help to develop a decentralised network of community cultivators who are doing the ground work of stitching together the social fabric that has been torn so deeply.
